Known for spikes and studs and a distinctly rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic, industry cool- kid, Eddie Borgo, has become one of New York’s jewellery designers du jour since launching his collection in 2009. His signature cone bracelet is the arm candy of choice among the fashion elite—Kate Lanphear, Giovanna Battaglia, and Tabitha Simmons have even starred in his campaigns. Winning the CFDA/Swarovski Award for Innovation in Accessory Design in 2011 was just another feather in his (now infamous) black brimmed hat and we can’t wait to see what’s next. Holts had the chance to meet with the designer in his New York studio to talk about his punk infused pieces, his industry besties and his unique design process.
