Being effortless comes easily to Aerin Lauder, the granddaughter of cosmetics legend Estée Lauder. Effortless beauty is the mantra that defines her new lifestyle brand, and it was certainly reflected in the 42-year-olds own personal style during her appearance at Holt Renfrew last week. Greeting fans in a fitted Valentino lace dress and sleek Manolo pumps, her look was completed with a gold chain link bracelet that had belonged to her grandmother Estée. Growing up surrounded by beautiful things and a 20-year veteran of the beauty industry, it is no surprise that Aerin, the former creative director of Estée Lauder, is now venturing out on her own with a luxe lifestyle brand. And fittingly, the eponymous label is starting out with a collection of beauty essentials. After constantly being asked about her own beauty essentials, the collection reflects what you would find inside her own makeup bag—nude lip gloss, illuminating bronzer, neutral lip-eye-cheek palette and rose scented hand and body cream.
We had the opportunity to chat with the beauty guru about the launch of her new collection and the best piece of advice she ever received from her legendary grandmother.
