“My goal was to incorporate aspects of the Holt Renfrew brand in a subtle manner, and in my own particular style, with the intention of creating a different perspective on the relationship between image and type and how it pertains to the individual.”
Alex Viau is a 25-year-old Graphic Designer + Videographer currently based in Toronto, Ontario. Alex has spent the past six years in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he studied Visual Arts and Film. Whether print or video-based, his approach is to create work that focuses on the exploration of both traditional and emerging media influences and techniques. Alex has always been attracted to works that go beyond the obvious, such as grunge-inspired, collage and type based design from his influencers David Carson, Denis Dulude, and Thomas Schostok.
