Festival style requires careful planning. Kate Bosworth hit the right note style notes at Coachella last year by pairing an army-inspired jacket with a casual patterned dress. Staying dry in the unpredictable weather is key to enjoying your favourite set, so throw on some rain boots and enjoy the music!

Our Holt Renfrew collection of Luxury Essentials tees are the ultimate in comfort. Pair them with a bold sequin skirt or layer under a sharp blazer for a look that’s anything but basic.

SHOP THE LOOK: Taylor Tomasi Hill
We can’t get enough of Taylor! As Moda Operandi’s Artistic Director, her standout fiery locks have shone in the style spotlight. In unique ensembles with fierce statement jewellery (coming from her days as Style and Accessories Director for Marie Claire) her looks never cease to inspire us. See how we’d nab her look.
SHOP THE LOOK: Merlot
Merlot is the colour of the season as we have forecasted in our Fall 2012 guide. The structured bomber coat with fur details is the perfect Fall staple. Layering is a key essential in dressing for this season and keeping a monochromatic colour palette is the perfect way to complete the look from head to toe.
TREND ALERT: Peplum Perfection
The added frill of the Peplum has been a building trend for some time. Now in full force, streetstyle mavens and runways alike are covered in the lady like silhouette.
SHOP THE LOOK: Summer Transition
While the temperature may have just started to drop, don’t hang up your summer staples just yet. The graphic tee is one of the biggest trends this fall. Pair it with interesting textures like PVC heels and a strong leather jacket and you’ve got the perfect balance for the cooler weather to come.
GET THE LOOK: TIFF Best Dressed
There was no shortage of celebrities in Toronto this year for the 37th annual Toronto International Film Festival. A-List celebrities hit the Canadian red carpet in style and we are still obsessing over some of our favorite looks.

It’s all in the details. Give your made to measure suit some personality with pops of colour and patterned extras.

Steal a page from the collegiate books and sport a crewneck. The easy pull-over pairs nicely with Fall’s luxe leathers or layered with prim and proper tailoring. Watch the trailer for our limited edition crewnecks HERE.
SHOP THE LOOK: Anne-Catherine Frey
All eyes are on Anne-Catherine Frey! The petite, Luxembourg-born blogger/fashion student/designer is currently living in Paris and pens the blog a truly inspiring subject. We love her effortless, chic and tailored look. She’s that cool girl that we all just want to be friends with!
TREND ALERT: Camo
Camouflage was given a new spin on the streets at the menswear shows in Milan and Paris. This military-prep look is anything but “fatigued” when styled with classic menswear staples like the Breton stripe t-shirt, the chino, and the oxford.
TREND ALERT: High Top, High Fashion
Fashion and comfort are no longer mutually exclusive! High-top sneakers are sweeping the streets. Although these sneaky sneaks may appear to be flat, they actually have a built in wedge. We can thank the wonderful Isabel Marant, who started this trend with her Willow High-Top Sneaker. Make the look your own with new and vibrant colours. Your feet will thank us later.
TREND ALERT: Collars
Collars. Collars. Collars! The detachable collar is making a comeback. From peter pan to bejeweled, these quirky accessories will add just the right shot of colour and pattern to your look this fall.

SHOP THE LOOK: Cottage Style
After a long and busy week you decide to pack up and head north, where life is less hectic and the booming city sounds are replaced with distant boat engines and mysterious summer beetles humming loudly from trees. But before you can make the great escape to cottage life, you need to throw some essentials into a duffle. And just because you’re hanging with granny doesn’t mean you don’t need to look nice. Whether it’s a weekend with your family or friends, here are our picks to help you spruce up your cottage style.

CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: Moira Wright
Meet Moira Wright. A small town Saskatchewan girl who at 16 convinced the owner of a local souvenir t-shirt shop not only to hire her to run the business, but to bring in exotic fare such as gold lamè bikinis imported from Gottex in Israel. He reluctantly agreed and was amazed when the designer garments flew off the shelves. The shop became a runaway success, and needless to say, Moira was destined for a career in fashion.
Moira is now the divisional vice president of public relations at Holt Renfrew. She is inspired by her children’s artwork and loves the smell of fresh cut peonies at her desk while she works. She can’t live without a punch of colour and a beautifully crafted garment.
TREND ALERT: Great Gatsby
Scheduled to release this December May 2013, we can barely wait for the 2012 2013 adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. But we’re embracing the razzle dazzle early and suiting up in jazz-age style this summer. The ultra-feminine look draws from art deco and architectural motifs—think sequins, metallics and drop waist flapper dresses, oh my!
