Since launching her namesake collection in 1992, designer Nanette Lepore has established herself as a fashion powerhouse known for her signature fun and flirty designs. While her designs are inherently feminine, her use of opulent fabrics and punchy colours breathe new life into classic silhouettes. Holt Renfrew had the chance to sit down with the Ohio-born designer at her showroom in New York to get an exclusive peek at her electric spring 2012 collection. And from the moment we stepped into the tropical-themed space we were hooked. It was neon mania all the way, with an abundance of shocking shades subdued with lace and crochet detailing—the perfect way to revamp your spring wardrobe and the ideal setting for us to chat with the vibrant designer about her climb to the top.
