Jaime Payeras, our Contemporary and Modern Sportswear Buyer, recently embarked on a trip to Sweden to get the full-frontal experience thanks to Nudie. The mission: an excursion to embody the lifestyle associated with the Swedish brand, and in doing so, he ate (lots), drank (occasionally), and played high-adrenaline sports which provided him with a 360 view of the brand. Originating in Gothenburg, Nudie is an innovator when it comes to ‘recycle, re-use, repair’, a mantra that is embedded in the clothing. They’ve taken measures to personalize their creations (their attempt at full disclosure) whereby every pair of jeans will have a serial number, and when entered online, you’ll be able to find the following information: the origin of the cotton from that specific pair, which factory manufactured it, what audits have been done to that factory, and what were the results, etc. They say a photo speaks a thousand words, but what about 11? Here are his favorite images from his Swedish Journey.
